The Aquagat Timber Classic Carbon E.T (Enclosed Track) utilizes the same build specs as the Timber Classic, though the Carbon E.T option has an enclosed carbon fibre track design.
The Enclosed Track not only further increases the stocks lateral rigidity but also enables the gun to be 'overpowered' as such, yet not be subjected to the downside of inaccuracy due to shaft whip.
Shaft-whip can occur when the shaft flexes upon release causing wildly inaccurate shots, the enclosed track design eliminates this by containing the shaft inside the carbon fibre track and ensuring that all the power is harnessed and that the shaft flies as straight and true as physically possible whilst maintaining maximum kinetic energy throughout the power stroke.
A significant recent upgrade to the Timber Classic and Timber Classic Carbon E.T models has been the introduction of fully adjustable ballast points both at the muzzle and the grip ends of the speargun.
By simply unscrewing the two phillips head retainer screws of each holding plate you are able to access the ballast pockets where you have the ability to add or remove lead weights to find the perfect ballast for your chosen preference.
The rearward adjustable ballast point is especially handy when adding or removing a reel as the spearguns balance in the water can change fairly dramatically when doing so, and of course you can now also tailor how the gun tracks and further absorbs recoil by making adjustments at the muzzle point.
A handcrafted timber speargun with the most beautifully shaped classic lines, finished in pure Tung oil with your favourite colour-way grip and fittings the Aquagat Timber Classic Carbon E.T truly is a work of functional art.
The Timber Classic series hardwood base is crafted from carefully selected and refined New Guinea Rosewood selected for its exceptional use in marine applications and its stunning aesthetic.
We choose select Rosewood as its durability in historical boat building has been tested over centuries and we much prefer the colour and finish of this beautiful hardwood.
When underwater and the sun hits the stock it glows intense iridescent golden browns and honey orange tones, its really quite something to behold. This, combined with the modus operandi of 'The Aquagat Difference' led us to choose Rosewood over the more commonly used Teak for the Timber Classic series.
The Timber Classic series is very versatile in that lengths like the 80 are used for hunting in dirty water in close quarters situations while the 130 variant can be amped up with 3 X 16mm bands and take down absolutely anything that comes within just shy of 8 meters of it.
The Timber Classsic Carbon E.T option employs a carbon fibre enclosed track set in by a clear epoxy resin or a full colour poly track top side bringing either the stunning luster of the carbon to life, or some customized colour into the stock big style.
As with the grip and fittings you can choose from over 15 custom swirl colour-way options for the poly track top so get funky!
The Timber Classic Carbon E.T is able to take shafts between 6.5mm to 7.5mm and comes stock with a 7.1mm stainless shaft.
Hit us up direct should you require your Timber Classic E.T to take on larger shaft diameters as we can build these to spec for you to take on an 8-9.5mm shaft with no problems at all.
The style shaped stock of the Timber Classic series is designed to hold the bands inside the gun at the muzzle end as much as possible which decreases surface area and increases agility/assists in helping it track very efficiently whilst also keeping the line of sight as open as possible.
Fitted with stainless 304 M5 threaded inserts you can also fit the Aquagat 'Keep-It' reel in under a minute and the stainless line guides are set up and in place for some REEL fun!
One of the benefits of a timber speargun is that the mass of the stock dramatically reduces recoil, but that's not enough for us at Aquagat.
We took this a step further and designed our grip and palm placement to be up and 'inside' the stock as much as possible which significantly further reduces recoil.
Not only do these design specs make pulling the finger lever of the Aquagat Timber Classic E.Ts reverse trigger mechanism a breeze, but more importantly it creates a stable shot, and a stable shot combined with our 'deep track' spec combine to create the most accurate shot, after all, what's power without finesse?
As with all Aquagat spearguns, the Timber Classic Carbon E.T series all come with the ever reliable, ultra strong and smooth Aquagat reverse trigger mechanism.
With our unique wide finger lever design, precisely designed high tolerance sears, silky smooth finger feel even at the highest loads and housed inside the machined stainless steel casing there's really nothing this mech can't handle.
Finished in multiple deep saturation coats of pure Tung oil and fitted with the Aquagat Turquoise swirl colour-way components as stock, the Aquagat Timber Classic series is the real deal.
Beautiful, powerful, precise and very special it looks just as at home hanging on the lounge room wall as a show piece as it does 2 atmospheres below sniping dinner.
