Developed over 5 years of ideas and testing with too many prototypes tested, scrapped, re designed and finally evolved to even count we believe we have come up with the best performing, most functional, stylish and intuitive roller muzzle on the market today.
We first got right into roller-guns with our very first speargun offer over 5 years ago, the DR105, which was a timber/carbon enclosed track double roller-gun and we learnt SO much about roller-gun function and roller design over these years that we were blessed to be able to bring this knowledge to a rail-gun roller muzzle and introduce to the world the Rollergat series.
One of the smallest improvements was actually one of the biggest in terms of power transfer, that is among key design dimensions, harnessing the full load of kinetic energy on hand and that was the introduction of full ceramic bearings to our bespoke roller sheaves.
Each Rollergat muzzle has 4 full ceramic bearings, 2 per roller sheave, and these are no ordinary ceramic bearings either.
At 6mm wide and with an ID of 6mm as well, these are the toughest and smoothest ceramic bearings available, are 100% corrosion proof, bullet-proof and silky smooth with a little fresh water rinse after your dive they will last a lifetime and continue to perform flawlessly.
Our bespoke roller sheaves, with our pair of inset ceramic bearings, can take 204kg of dynamic load each! Meaning the load capacity for the Rollergat muzzle head is some 408kg!
To give you an idea of what that means in the relative terms, when loaded, a traditionally set up 110 roller with 350% stretched bands has around 40kg of load force on the muzzle, so yeah, this is one tough unit!
The bridle lifters on the Rollergat muzzle have been designed to give you a smooth, non jolting lift of the bridles as the shaft passes through them which not only maximizes the transfer of power through the entire power stroke, but most importantly also increases accuracy via keeping the entire power stroke strong and smooth.
We have also designed into the Rollergat muzzle what we believe to be the simplest and most intuitive line guides in the sector making loading and stringing up the line on your Rollergat muzzle a fast and fluid motion, it also has an internal stainless steel shooting line guide so you will not have any wear issues when that 40kg Wahoo does its thing and decides to strip your reels spool in 5 seconds flat!
The Rollergat muzzle is compatible with stocks with a 25mm or 26mm internal dimension. Should you require a tighter or slightly looser fit you can simply sub out the 3 O-rings to your choice of O-ring thickness, SO simple!
